How to Conduct an Online Sealed Pack Duel
Sealed Play is when both players get the same amount of packs from the same set and open the packs that they get, create a deck and side deck from the cards they get in their packs, and then duel in either single or match format using only those cards. This gets you away from the meta and exposes you to the more simplified version of the game that existed back in the day. The ban list does not apply to sealed play and the card ratios, though limited to a maximum of 3, depend on the luck of the pull from packs and player preference. A player might not want to run 3 heavy storms for example.
Normally, both players would not know what each other have in their deck, however in order for this to work online (because there is no program that allows for it to be done currently) this process will involve both players knowing what is in the other player's card pool. In sealed play though, this shouldn't be much of a problem.
In order for this to work, both players will need some kind of screen capturing plugin for their browser. Different browsers have different plugins. Chose one that prefferably allows you to select a specific region of the page. For Firefox, Nimbus Screen Capture works excellently and there is also a Chrome Version of Nimbus.
Both players will also need access to the Yugioh Pack Simulator website.
Step 1: Chose a pack that the sealed challenge will use. For the best results (packs that will give you cards that you mostly cards that you can actually use rather than pieces of archetypes that need the rest of the archetype), use one of the following:
Step 2: Each player gets 30 minutes to open, screen capture, and post the images of the cards they open with on the challenge post after both player meet and agree to have the challenge. If the set is Dark Beginning 2 and the players agree to add the tournament pack to the mix, then each player will have to save 8 images (7 dark beginning packs and 1 champion pack). After saving, they post all of the images in 1 reply.
Step 3: After posting their card pool, they go to DN or Devpro (whichever the players agree to) in order to create their deck. They may omit any cards that they do not want to use and they do not have to make a side deck. They only have to follow the 60 card maximum and 40 card minimum for the main deck. Side decks are optional but recommended if the duel will be a match.
In sealed play, the ban list does not apply! All cards are unlimited (at 3) in sealed play!
Step 4: Host the duel in unlimited if need be or traditional format or advanced depending on the cards each player opened with. Duel, have fun, and record the winner for future recognition!

Steps
Step 1: Chose a pack that the sealed challenge will use. For the best results (packs that will give you cards that you mostly cards that you can actually use rather than pieces of archetypes that need the rest of the archetype), use one of the following:
- The Best Packs for Sealed Play:
- Battle Pack: Epic Dawn (5 card per pack. Each player gets 12 packs for a total of 60 cards)
Battle Pack 2: War of Giants (5 cards per pack. Each player gets 12 packs for a total of 60 cards)
Battle Pack 3: Monster League (5 cards per pack. Each Player Gets 12 packs for a total of 60 cards)
War of Giants Reinforcements (16 cards per pack. Each player gets 4 packs for a total of 64 cards)
Battle Pack 2: War of Giants - Round 2 (16 cards per pack. Each player gets 4 packs for a total of 64 cards)
Dark Beginning 1 (9 cards per pack. Each player gets 7 packs for a total of 63 cards)
Dark Beginning 2 (9 cards per pack. Each player gets 7 packs for a total of 63 cards)
- Optional Pack to Include in Addition:
- Champion Pack (any): 3 cards per pack. Optionally, each player can get 1 champion pack in addition to their packs as each Champion pack usually has quite powerful cards like Royal Oppression, Solemn Judgement, and Prohibition that can greatly boost the power of the decks and make the duel more interesting with these power cards.
Step 2: Each player gets 30 minutes to open, screen capture, and post the images of the cards they open with on the challenge post after both player meet and agree to have the challenge.
